ABOUT ME
Welcome to my portfolio! I created this site to share my work in the field of art education. Explore the pages to view my lesson plans, student work, and more!
Hello! I’m Julia, from Commack, NY and I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember! As a kid, I immersed myself in every creative outlet I could find—from creating elaborate sidewalk murals to constructing fantastic costumes and everything in between. If it allowed me to be expressive and imaginative, I was there!
In high school, I dove head first into the art world, not just through classes, but also by leading art-based extracurriculars to keep the creativity flowing. In 2018, I took the leap to New York City—the epicenter of art and culture—to study Production Design at Pace University. While in college and beyond, I worked in the art departments of film and television productions, collaborated on theatrical scenic designs, and helped bring immersive installation art to restaurants and shops across the city.
While I loved working in these creative industries, I realized something was missing: a true sense of support and encouragement for artists. That realization inspired me to shift paths and step into education. I wanted to create the kind of environment I once wished for. One that uplifts young artists, nurtures creativity, and validates everyone's unique artistic voice.
Now, I am proud to be a part of the world of visual art education. I’ve had the joy of learning from and collaborating with incredible art teachers across Long Island. I’m ready and excited to lead a classroom of my own—where creativity is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and every student feels empowered to explore and express themselves through art.
